The Divine Journey Behind "Let's Talk About Jesus"

A midnight whisper that became a global chorus

In the stillness of midnight, as the world slept, something extraordinary happened. Twelve hours into a 24-hour prayer service, when fatigue should have clouded my mind, clarity came instead—in the form of music.

The catchy chorus and infectious beat of "Let's Talk About Jesus" began playing in my head with surprising persistence. Not being a musician, I initially dismissed it as a distraction from prayer. But the melody wouldn't fade; it only grew stronger, more insistent—as if demanding to be heard.

"Could this be more than just a random thought?" I wondered, finally surrendering to the possibility that this might be divine inspiration. With hesitation, I wrote down the chorus and beat pattern that had been repeating in my mind.

From Midnight Inspiration to Studio Magic

The following Monday, I somewhat sheepishly shared this midnight revelation with our church's tech and worship director. What I didn't know was that Ken wasn't just any tech/worship leader—he was a veteran of the music industry with connections I never imagined.

"This has potential," he said, immediately making calls to Starke Lake Studios, one of Orlando's premier recording facilities. The studio executives heard something special in this simple chorus born from prayer—something that resonated beyond just another children's song.

Together, Ken arranged the music while I expanded the lyrics, watching in awe as God transformed a midnight whisper into a fully orchestrated celebration of Jesus' love. When children from diverse cultural backgrounds arrived to record vocals, the studio came alive with energy that could only be described as divine appointment.

Beyond Music: A Visual Journey Around the World

But God's vision didn't stop with music. As production continued, doors miraculously opened for animation—bringing Church Dog to life for the first time beyond the pages of our award-winning books.

The animation takes children on a global journey, showing young voices from every continent singing about Jesus in front of the world's most iconic landmarks. From the Eiffel Tower to the Great Wall, from African savannas to South American rainforests—the message remains beautifully consistent: Jesus' love knows no boundaries.

This perfect alignment with our new "Church Dog Around the World" series couldn't have been planned by human hands alone. Each step of this journey has revealed God's fingerprints, from midnight inspiration to global animation.

A Movement Begins September 12th

As we prepare for the September 12th release of "Let's Talk About Jesus," we stand in humble amazement at how God can use the most unlikely vessels—a non-musician during a late-night prayer session—to create something that will touch children worldwide.

This isn't just a song or video release. It's the beginning of a movement to help children everywhere discover the friend who loves them most—Jesus.

All glory belongs to God alone. We're simply grateful He allowed us to be part of His divine composition.

"For such a time as this..." — Esther 4:14

A Perfect Harmony: Music, Animation, and Books Unite

The September 12th release of "Let's Talk About Jesus" isn't just a standalone musical moment—it's the perfect prelude to an exciting new chapter in the Church Dog story. Just four days later, on September 16th, children will embark on their first global adventure with "Church Dog Adventures in Kenya," the inaugural book in our new "Church Dog Around the World" series.

This divine timing creates a seamless experience for children, where music and literature blend into a complete sensory journey. The animated music video showcases children singing in front of iconic global landmarks—the exact same world exploration theme that defines our new book series.

Interactive Experience Across Mediums

Inside each copy of "Church Dog Adventures in Kenya," young readers will discover a special QR code—a digital doorway that instantly connects them to the "Let's Talk About Jesus" animated music video. This innovative bridge between page and screen reinforces the book's central message about sharing Jesus with friends and family.

As children follow Church Dog's adventures through the colorful landscapes of Kenya, they'll learn the same lesson echoed in the song: Jesus' love transcends all cultural boundaries. The book's vibrant illustrations mirror the animation's global settings, creating recognition and excitement as children move between reading and watching.

A Unified Message of Global Love

Both the song and the book series share one powerful truth: Jesus loves every child, everywhere. Whether in the bustling village of Utange in Kenya or the serene landscapes of future destinations, Church Dog guides young hearts to understand that talking about Jesus can be as natural and joyful as singing along to their favorite song.

The book's storyline specifically teaches children how easy and natural it is to share Jesus with others—a message that comes alive when they watch diverse children from around the world doing exactly that in the animated video.

This intentional connection between music, animation, and literature creates a multi-sensory learning experience that reinforces the message in ways a single medium never could. It's not just entertainment—it's immersive discipleship designed for today's media-savvy children.

Where will Church Dog take your children next? The adventure begins September 12th with music, continues September 16th with Kenya, and will soon span the globe—all to share the boundless love of Jesus with the next generation
