Author, Tracy Mattes, took a break from signing books at the ALA Conference to attend the 2023 Next Generation INDIE Book Awards Ceremony, where the Church Dog book series won a coveted medal along with separate awards for three of its books:  Prayer Pumpkin, Christmas Visitor, and The World's First Zoo.
